There’s a visual quality to A Pack of Wolves’ music. It’s the sonic equivalent of gold lamé and David Bowie sparkle, a glam rock throwback that’s found a reincarnation in skinny jeans and v-neck tees. It’s a rare that music carries such sensory attachments, but there’s a distinctly punk rock strut buried in the band’s layers of staticky electronica.  On 2007’s Hot and Bothered, Eden Mazzola and Francesco Catania proved their adeptness at merging driving rock with blissed out fuzz, crafting songs that swell to violent, cataclysmic climaxes. The band’s name says it all — there’s something animalistic about Mazzola and Catania’s boisterous electro-rock, and it’s as exhilarating and urgent a beast hunting for prey.
